Before speaking of the book we have to understand what Google Analytics is? It is a web analytic solution which is installed worldwide. It gives webmasters access to an efficient and free personalised statistical tool.
Google Analytics is considered the web analytics solution that’s most implemented in the current scenario, it is a powerful, simple and it’s a free tool. Overall, bringing the number of visits and increasing conversion ratios (conversion understood as achieving some goal we mark, such as downloading a file, sending a form, the execution of a purchase). We don’t know what’s happening on our website, who visits us what information you consume, where to leave our site, why purchasing processes are abandoned…etc. Google Analytics helps business in knowing all of this information.
This book is a good introductory guide to the world of Google Analytics, it is a reference manual to set basic and essential knowledge and serve as a starting point for developing a deeper web analytics. All of the information in this book is accompanied by illustrations and stepts to make the reader follow it in an easy way.
It is divided into four chapters and seeks to highlight Google Analytics while having all of its functions. At the end of the book, it contains a glossary with all of the terms mentioned in the book, where you can find the definition if you don’t understand it what it is you’re reading.

It is the appropriate manual for those who want to start managing this tool, as well as Google Analytics users who want to update their knowledge.
The language used by the author is very easy to understand. He explains each concept in a way that all readers can follow what it is he is trying to say. However, most of the book is very practical, so I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have a computer in front of you to follow the steps . In my case, I started reading the book when I didn’t have my computer with me. This was hard to follow because he explains the points of google analytics in a practical way, which you’ll need the computer in order to understand what he is trying to explain. A part from that, I recommend this book for those who wants to understand the concepts of google analytics, because when you read it you’ll find it very easy to use and understand.
Chardonneau explains each step of Google Analytics with screen snapshots that are very easy to follow. Sometimes it can be confusing if you don’t really know how to control this type of analytics, or if it is your first time using it. In my opinion the book should contain a CD explaining each step.
