Hi there 🙂
If you are reading this that means you are preparing for your exchange program in Korea, or considering it.
First of all, if you are preparing – you have made the best decision of your student life. And if you are considering – what are you waiting for?! Oh you need final reassurance? Well, I hope that with this blog I will help you make that final step towards something that, I’m pretty sure, is going to end up being an amazing experience for you.
But first let me tell you who I am and why I’m allowing myself to give such big statements 🙂
Who is Kristina and why is she writing this blog?
As as the subtitle reveals, my name is Kristina. I am currently a 4th year student at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. I am finishing my bachelors degree in marketing this year, but this blog is about something incredible that happened to me last year. An that was my exchange in Seoul, South Korea at the Hanyang University.
Ever since I came back I refer to that time as the “time of my life”. Not only had I had a change to learn more about the fascinating culture and traditions of Korea but also I met truly amazing people and friends during my exchange.
That is why I have decided to write about my experience. Even now, a year later, the memories are still so vivid that I definitely want to share them with others and hopefully convince future students to chose the same path.
What should you expect from this blog?
I will include photos and videos with my experiences and give you practical advice on the “exchange student” essentials.
This is not going to be one of those blogs where I just describe where I went, what I ate and what happened. We all know those kind of blogs, don’t we?
I am writing this blog with a mission – I want to help future students with tips and recommendations on how to get the best from their exchange in Korea. Moreover, as I mentioned above, my evil plan is to convince everyone to go to Korea! I am not kidding here guys, if you do decide to go there, its going to be an unforgettable experience for you, just saying haha
Hanging University – my second home
I have decided to also blog about the Hanyang University – the school I did my exchange with. Even though some would say that the most of the Korean universities are all in all the same, the Hanyang University holds a special place in my heart and I want to share it with you. Also, I honestly believe that the tips that I want to give you are going to be extremely helpful for the future Hanyang students 🙂
I’d say this is enough for the first introduction post, what do you think? Please let me know in the comment section if you have any specific questions you would like me to address in my future posts.
I am very excited to start sharing with you guys and I hope you enjoy the ride 🙂
